WIll the Nuclear Deal with US help Inida?

Nuclear deal has created turmiol in Indian politics, but the fact of the matter remains that it has been successfully completed. Question comes, does it really help India? well, I would say its really helpful. There are so many reasongs.

For the countries like india, which are so called "developing" countries, power is the main problem, if anybody wants to invest in india by constructing big company, power is needed, which is currently a big problem. Many industries are struggling now becuase they are not able use their man/machine power to its full capacity because of the non availability of power. I have seen even many software companies are strugging because of inadequate power supply. Main reason for chinas development is manufacturing revolution. It has lot of industries. India also has lot of man power and minerals. Main reason is we dont have power to use these resources.

Second reason being a responsible world citizen, india has to start producing power from clean and renewable sources. In many indian states, still coal is the main source to generate electric power, which indeed emits lot of co2 and causes global warming. As the world moving towards acting strong on global warming, its good initiative from indian side.

We need more power for farming, farmers are not getting enough power to produce more output. Many indian states gives 5-9 hours of fully utilizable power a day, and that too half of the time during day and rest half during night time. This is very bad news to the country, we have to remember that in india, still large number of people depending on farming.

We need energy for many reasons, so I would say nuclear power is the only solution for all these problems. We cannot depend on the hydral power becuase it cannot produce energy to 100% capacity during summer becuase many rivers are dried up during that time. We should not depend on coal generated energey it's not good for global environment.

Obviously there will be lot of controversies about this agreement. Main reason is in india if a party does a proposal, opposition blindly opposes it (except reservation bills). In this case communist parties worries are useless. We have to remember that scientists like Abdul Kalam supported this agreement. There will be obviously some restrictions imposed, no one gives anything for free.
One particular point in the agreement says, "if india does a nuclear test, then this agreement will be cancelled". We already made enough nuclear weapons and we dont need to do no more tests. Moreover india herself is inching towards aquiring the plutonium cleaning technology. In 10 years we will be nuclear independent. So we dont need agreement anymore. So I support Manmohan Singh as an educated indian citizen.
